Meet our team – Ivana Belíková

Our Sales Manager Ivana Belíková, who operates from London

Always positive chocolate and books lover and our valuable support. Meet Ivana Belíková, our passionate Sales Manager. Ivana works with us remotely from London and helps nextporter to spread the goodwill and grow beyond the borders of Slovakia.

Hi Ivka, share with us, please, how did your “nextporter” story begin!

Nextporter asked me if I would be interested in working for them from England. For a simple reason, I said: “Of course!” I could not reject a company that puts the professional and personal development of their employees at the first place.

What do you like the most about your job?

I love that it's work from home. I don't need to commute to work which saves me at least 2 hours a day here in London. I like the flexibility, working with people and learning new things. I am happy to work for a company that cares not only for its customers but also for the employees. My goal is to help nextporter to grow here, in England.

Which colleague is the closest to you so far?

Since I work remotely, it's hard to say yet. However, at the moment I am in constant contact with our Executive Director Michal. He is "hacking" my laptop to see if I'm really working or I'm procrastinating on Facebook. Just kidding. I must say that Michal has a great deal of patience in explaining the programs that the company uses.

What do you do otherwise than being online on nextporter's server?

I love reading. At the moment I started to read multiple motivational books, but to be honest, Harry Potter was much easier for me to read.

Since January, we have been reconstructing our house together with my fiancé. For the first three months we went beyond the maximum of our limits - working during the week and reconstructing during the weekend. One can't handle this for a long time, so we slowed down. For example, last weekend we were working on the wall in the living room. And then we finally finished The Big Bang Theory.

What is your dream travel destination and why?

I have two of them: Machu Picchu and Cuba. When my sister and me were younger, we found Machu Picchu funny. And Cuba? I always wanted to go there.

Do you have any big dreams? Tell us more about them!

I have four big dreams that, pardon me, I will keep for myself. They are depending on my philosophy of life. I think happiness can be bought for money. It means if you save someone's life by financially helping them. For example, by purchasing a necessary medicine or medical device, or by paying the surgery. This can make the people around the person happy as well.

I will share my fifth, and unofficial, dream with you. In case I manage to fulfill the previous four dreams, I will buy a Mustang Shelby GT500. I have a dilemma though: should I buy the classic or a new model?

What are your achievements so far?

I would consider 4 years spent in Israel and mastering Hebrew as a big success in my life. When it comes down to my personal life, it's getting engaged and buying a house. And, of course, working for nextporter.

When it comes down to cooking… Do you like to cook? What do you put on the pan at first: onion or garlic?

I am not a big foodie. To survive I need chocolate, fried cheese and poppy seed noodles (typical Slovak poppy seed dumpling dish). I love the smell of garlic, so definitely garlic first.

Ivka thinks that there is nothing better than the smell of homemade food prepared in the oven after a rainy working day. She believes that each coin has two sides and it is up to the person to choose which one they want to see.
