Just before Christmas, on December 21, we all went to Vienna together.
We had several options, such as Budapest and Krakow, but we all agreed that we wanted to go to Vienna.
The goal of our trip was clear: food, markets, ice skating, and last but not least, the Christmas atmosphere. :)
Our first stop was Schönbrunn Palace.
We didn't have enough time to visit the museum inside the palace, but we managed to fit into our tight schedule the Christmas markets on its square. :)
The castle was completed in 1711.
This summer chateaux has a respectable 1440 rooms and was meant to compete with the famous palace near Paris - Versailles.
If you have ever wondered what the name Schönbrunn means, it means "beautiful spring". It is said, that this is because when King Matej was in that place, during one of his hunts, a spring appeared there, and was surrounded by beautiful nature.
Up to 3 million visitors visit this place annually, and thanks to this, Schönbrunn ranks among the most visited castles and chateaux in the world.
Our steps continued to Rathausplatz, where more Christmas markets awaited us and if that wasn't enough, an ice rink.
A Rathausplatz is a must-go-to for every visitor to Vienna. Especially for those, coming to this city during the winter time.

We ended our teambuilding with a joint dinner, not in Vienna, but in nearby Bratislava.
We're so glad we had the opportunity to spend time together outside the office and to see other places and cities. :)
